Professor Sreeram Kannan, the founder of EigenLayer, is an expert in scaling blockchain. Coinbase has Professor Yehuda Lindell as Head of Cryptography. UCSB Foundations of Fintech Research Lab is headed by Professor Dahlia Malkhi. The majority of the contemporary blockchains deploy elliptic-curve cryptography.
